The practice has an impressive portfolio of conservation related projects ranging from manor houses to humble cottages, from the polite to the vernacular and from modest repairs to complex £500,000 projects.

Based on a thorough understanding of traditional building construction and the philosophy of conservation, many successful repair, renovation and refurbishment schemes have been implemented to period and Listed buildings.

Previous projects have won praise in both national and local press and awards have been received from the Somerset Building Preservation Trust.

Longstanding working relationships have been developed with Local Authority Conservation Officers and English Heritage as well as builders and craftsmen offering appropriate traditional skills.

Any alteration to a Listed building, either internal or external, requires Listed Building Consent often involving complex discussions with Conservation bodies.

Wolstenholme and Partners have significant experience in this connection and are able to assist in all respects including the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications and building contracts.
